INCREASE YOUR SPIRITUAL CAPITAL

Every individual has self-worth or vaule. It is on the basis of your values that relationship are contracted. Since nothing is static on this earth, your values is either increasing or decreasing on a regular basis. It is always fluctuating like a pendulum and the direction of it’s flow dictates your rate of progression or regression. So, sensitivity to your current market-worth is essential for a proper assessment of your potential.

Have you ever considered an assessment of your spiritual capital or net-worth? It is an established fact that what is seen comes from the unseen. Spiritual Capital may not be physically tangible, but it is the source of all accomplishments.

Like in business organizations, spiritual capital is classified into permanent capital and working capital. The authorized or nominal capital constitutes your permanent spiritual capital. When you say that you are a Christian you have just subscribed for your nominal authorized spiritual share capital. This means that you have identified a course of action, but the capital is not yet paid-up. There are many norminal Christians today with unpaid capital. How can a ‘growing concern’ exist without paid-up capital? What constitutes a paid-up spiritual share capital? You should pause and reflect on this question. Consider also a situation where your spiritual authorized capital is partly paid. In other word it is not fully subscribed. A lot of nominal Christians today have their spiritual authorized capital partly subscribed.

Spiritual working capital operates as a recurrent requirement, which has to be maintained on a daily basis. Daniel was cast into the den of lions because he made his petition three times a day:

” Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber towards Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” (Daniel 6:10)

Let me now plainly say that regular hourly and daliy prayer and thanks-giving constitutes your spiritual working capital. So, do not forget the second action of Daniel: he gave thanks.

This is another constituent part of the working capital which many have ignored to their detriment. Daniel firstly prayed and secondly gave thanks. It is because of the constancy and consistency of the prayer and thanksgiving, “as he did aforetime” that God sent His angels, and shut the lions mouths. Daniel was holding his line of communication with God so tightly that the vibration in his personality was able to radiate a fire of protection which converted his lion-foes into lion- friends. A similar experience had been recorded for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Daniel’s experience was just a confirmation of the availability and regularity of God’s protective favour. You should prove this fact in your own life. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. To Shadrach and his colleagues the fire had no power, nor was a hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them (Daniel 3:37) if you can activate your spiritual working capital with a higher degree of trust in the living God, the son of God will hold his charismatic arm of love over you.

Do not forget that part of your working capital should be constantly transferred to increase your paid-up authorized capital. This means that your network should maintain a steady growth pattern. As a result of maintaining a consistent flow of spiritual working capital you will bear much fruit to the household of God.

It is an established fact that capital is regraded as liability when it is not employed or represented by an investment in assets. So, your spiritual capital must be given full employment. Your prayers should be harnessed with specific focus. An important fact to note is that you should not be selfish in your petitions. Intercessory prayers bring better “value-added” returns to the intercessor.
